What we repair
Blocked flues
Nests, fallen debris and broken tiles can close a flue. We clear it from the top or open the wall at the base of the chimney when the blockage sits low.
Draft problems
A flue that is too small, too short or shared with another appliance can push smoke back into the room. We find the cause and fix it.
Chimney extensions
When a chimney is too short to draw, we extend it above the roof line.
Dampers and smoke chambers
We repair dampers and resurface smoke chambers. See fireplace repair.
From a Google review
Vlad and his team were incredibly professional. Not only did they pick up and come help resolve the issue as soon as they could, they were so communicative. I was also extremely impressed by the fact that when we needed a part, they were already prepared with a spare in the truck. Vlad has listened and talked me through troubleshooting several times on the phone, and he is quick to come to a resolution to improve the fireplace ASAP. It is very clear that this company cares a great deal about their clients and the quality of their work. I very much depend on them to keep things running through the winter!

Chimney repair questions
Why does smoke come back into the room?
Common causes are a blocked flue, a damper that does not open fully, a flue that is too small for the fireplace and a chimney that is too short to draw. An inspection shows which one it is.
How do you clear a blocked chimney?
Most blockages come out from the top or through the firebox. When debris has packed the bottom of a flue, we open the wall at the base of the chimney, clear it and close the opening.
What is a chimney extension?
An extension adds height to the top of a chimney, so it clears the roof and nearby walls and draws properly.
Do I need an inspection before a repair?
Yes. We inspect the chimney first, so the repair fixes the cause. You get a flat-rate quote for the repair before work starts, repair jobs need a 50% deposit, and taxes and permit costs are added to the quote.
Do you work on apartment buildings?
Yes. We work for homeowners, property managers and residential buildings across Brooklyn and New York City.
